Continuous learning and self-development are just as crucial in the cruise industry as they are everywhere else. If it is about climbing the career ladder, transitioning into a team leader or management position, or starting a shoreside career after working on board. I’m here to support seafarers in the cruise industry, helping to elevate skills and thrive in the new role.

Why is training so crucial for a cruise ship seafarer?

Working aboard a ship exposes technical staff to a wide range of systems and equipment, some of them well-known, others completely unfamiliar.

Seafarer’s vacations are often occupied by keeping licenses, STCW certificates and medical records up-to-date. Remaining time is used on family and friends. So, the time for additional training is limited. That’s why online and onboard trainings are so important in order to give every seafarer a chance to expand their knowledge and skillset.

Why is coaching important for a cruise ship seafarer?

For professionals ashore coaching has become a common practice in order to excel in their career – especially in managerial roles.

However, despite the vast number of coaches out there, only a few understand the unique challenges, that come with a career at sea.

That’s why I decided to undergo a coaching training, in order to help my fellow seafarers in the best ways possible.

I aim to help seafarers, adapt to their new role aboard, transition to a shoreside position, to live and work aboard a cruise ship, or enhance the management styles.

Yes, I offer both online and onboard training options based on the preferences and requirements of the ship and its crew. Also a combination of both is possible; starting to work aboard together, then online consulting and support afterwards.
Yes, I have experience working with four different cruise lines so far. And I understand the nuances and demands of the cruise industry, and the struggles that seafarers are often facing.
Working with a coach who understands the maritime industry ensures that the coaching process is tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities faced by seafarers, maximizing their growth and success.
Of course, it is also beneficial for every seafarer to know, that they are talking to someone who has similar experiences and understands the challenges
We can have an initial consultation to discuss your crew’s training needs and goals, allowing us to determine if our services align with your requirements.
The duration of the training programs can vary depending on the specific needs and goals of the crew. We can discuss the ideal duration based on your requirements.
Confidentiality is a crucial aspect of coaching. I adhere to strict ethical guidelines and maintain the utmost confidentiality throughout the coaching process, ensuring a safe and trusting environment for open discussion. Whatever is discussed with the seafarer will never be shared with anyone else – especially not with the employer or other managers.
I can conduct trainings and coaching in English or German language. These are the only languages I’m fluent with. I have basic knowledge in French and Spanish, that I could communicate in, but cannot perform the trainings in.

You can simply book me as a contractor for the duration of the training or coaching period. The costs will be clearly defined before the start, so you can calculate with a clear pricing.

For the trainings aboard, you could also add me to the crew roll – I keep my certificates up-to-date
